Over a 16-month period, Wings Global Media worked closely with the Aruba Conservation Foundation, who served as the executive producers of Turning the Tide — a documentary featuring a landmark marine restoration project uniting science, community, and conservation. As the audiovisual production team, we were responsible for the complete filmmaking process: capturing the story in the field, underwater cinematography, interviews, sound design, editing, and narrative development.
The documentary highlights a powerful partnership between the Aruba Conservation Foundation, the University of Aruba, the ScubbleBubbles Foundation, and lead scientific partner Wageningen University & Research — organizations working together to restore the health of Aruba’s coastal ecosystems and coral reefs. Our cameras followed the action as it unfolded in real environments: divers placing restoration structures beneath the waves, researchers measuring progress, and passionate volunteers committing themselves to the island’s future. Underwater visuals reveal the fragile beauty of marine life, while interviews deliver the emotional and scientific heart of the story.
This project required technical precision and logistical flexibility — from coordinating dives and wildlife filming to tracking seasonal changes in the marine landscape. With Wings Global Media leading all filming and post-production, Turning the Tide shows the impact of skillful narrative filmmaking in environmental communication.
The result is a cinematic documentary that inspires audiences to care, act, and believe in recovery. For Wings Global Media, it demonstrates our capability to produce long-form environmental storytelling at the highest standard, reinforcing our role as Aruba’s premier production studio with the versatility to handle complex, multi-partner documentary work.
We are happy to help and look forward to hearing more about your project.
