For the second edition of Kooyman’s Colors of the Caribbean, Wings Global Media produced photo and video coverage of Armando Goedgedrag’s Shoco mural at EPB Hato School. A vibrant tribute to creativity, culture, and community.

For the second year of Kooyman’s Colors of the Caribbean project, Wings Global Media was entrusted with capturing one of Aruba’s most inspiring artistic collaborations — a celebration of color, creativity, and community across the Caribbean.

This regional initiative brought together five talented muralists from Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, Curaçao, and St. Maarten, each creating large-scale works of art that reflect the cultural identity of their island. On Aruba, the featured artist was Armando Goedgedrag, whose mural now brightens the walls of EPB Hato School in Oranjestad — a fitting location where creativity and education meet.

Armando’s mural depicts Aruba’s national symbol, the Shoco (burrowing owl), gazing at a radiant sunrise above the phrase “E Futuro ta Briyante” — “The Future is Bright.” The artwork beautifully symbolizes wisdom, knowledge, and the promise of a sustainable future for the island’s youth.

Our team at Wings Global Media handled both photography and videography for the Aruba edition, documenting every phase — from Armando’s first brushstrokes to the finished piece unveiled on the school’s façade.

This marks the second consecutive year we have partnered with Kooyman for the Colors of the Caribbean campaign, following our documentation of artist Paul Wong’s work in the previous edition. Each year, we are honored to help preserve these moments of cultural expression and share the creative spirit that connects our islands.

As Kooyman celebrates its 85th anniversary, this project stands as a vibrant reminder that color does more than decorate walls — it inspires people, communities, and a brighter future.
